Up early, couldn't sleep, so I went on a short run around my dad's neighborhood. It was fun, cutting through people's lawns, watching my ever expanding hometown change.
Distance: 3 miles + 5x200's at the end
State of Mind: Still a bit vacant.

Dear Corre,
ReplyDeleteI am greatly saddened to learn (out of the blue - I was away from your blog for a couple of weeks) that you have moved away. I am an ex-PPTC'er (now solo/sans team ... having co-formed and since left an all-women's team in the interim, but always a fan of PPTC) who followed your ups and downs with great interest and empathy. Now a different runner in my almost mid-40s than I was at your age, I could relate to so much of what you wrote over the months about your running (and life) but I also always wanted to try and help make things easier for you. I also recall seeing you, so intense, always, in our dear park, and always loved seeing you. I wish you all the best, and mostly, I wish you peace - with your running, your life, your recent move. Keep that pretty chin up and those strong and fast legs moving (but sometimes rested) and kick butt in the PNW, a place I always wanted to live (but family keeps me in the East).
Ciao,
Amy (Amy Chepaitis)
