I had a much better day today, strange how everything comes full circle. Run was nice tonight, smaller group because of the rain but I am not one to avoid running due to weather. Growing up on the base of Mt. Rainier taught me that you enter the outdoors no matter what.
Distance: 5.2 miles + arms & core
State of Mind: What would I do with myself without running

So what's the deal with that mountain anyway? It's no secret that one of the biggest drawbacks of the Pacific Northwest is the ridiculous number of rainy days they get year after year. You would think they'd want to play that down, right? So they've got this National Park there; it'd be nice to attract some visitors now and again -- maybe even from out of state, right? So what do they name this mountain that is the centerpiece of the western half of great Washington state: Mount Rainier!!!
